Carved over millions of years by the Lengarica River, a tributary of the Vjosa, this spectacular gorge features towering, sculpted limestone walls that reach up to 150 meters high, narrowing in some places to just a few meters across.
Our Canyoning adventure is a dynamic, multi-sport experience. Guided by our local experts, you will hike through the rocky riverbed, wade through crystal-clear pools, swim across deeper natural basins, and climb safely over ancient boulders. The journey is visually stunning, offering a true sense of wild exploration. After conquering the canyon, the tour concludes at the famous Bënja Thermal Baths. Here, framed by an iconic Ottoman-era stone bridge, you can relax your muscles in the naturally heated, mineral-rich hot springs—the perfect reward after an active adventure.
Meet at our Përmet center where our guides will distribute your safety equipment. Because the river water is naturally cool, we provide full neoprene wetsuits and safety helmets to keep you warm and protected.
A short, scenic drive brings us to the entrance of the Lengarica Gorge, marked by the ancient Kadiut Bridge. We enter the riverbed and immediately begin our trek into the towering limestone canyon.
The core of the adventure! For the next couple of hours, we navigate the river. You will alternate between walking on smooth rocks, wading waist-deep in water, and swimming through the gorge's deepest, most beautiful pools.
We exit the canyon right at the Bënja Thermal Baths. You'll have time to soak in the warm, sulfur-rich waters and take photos before we transport you back to Përmet.
Yes, basic swimming ability is required. While much of the canyon is shallow enough for walking or wading, there are several deep pools where you will need to swim for short distances.
The river water inside the shaded canyon is cool, which is why we provide high-quality neoprene wetsuits! Once we finish the canyoning, the Bënja thermal baths at the exit are wonderfully warm (around 28-30°C).
